A lot of bloggers have put up several lists of the top tech blogs in Nigeria before me. But I’m doing something different that probably not one of them have done.
The truth is that a lot of these information out there is substandard and full of self-promoting bias (like listing the authoring blog as one of the top, which in most case it isn’t.).
This post isn’t about hyping richeetech. It’s based on facts and stats culled from a popular web Analytics website you may know called Similarweb.
Bare in mind though that these are merely estimates and not their exact numbers but either way, it helps you have a clue to who the top contenders in the tech blogging niche in Nigeria are.
So Ladies and Gentlemen without further ado, from bottom to top (using estimated visits a month):
We all know MissTechy all too well. Well according to Similarweb, he tech blog got a total of 75,000 visits.
Big Media’s Techcabal came in second lowest earning 95,000 visits in January.
Just take a look at that nose dive all the way from about 220k, it fell to 100,000 flat in January.
For a consumer electronics (especially gadgets) website which was founded in just 2015 (much like Misstechy and Techpoint, Specspricenigeria comes _ in our list with 110,000 visits a month.
At just over 3 years old, these guys are definitely doing very well for themselves. They come in between at 118,500 visits in a month.
You’ll probably agree with me that Geek.ng isn’t all that popular (compared to the likes of Naijatechguide an Techpoint). However, Similarweb ranks it’s traffic even above Techpoint’s coming in at 140,000 visits.
And finally, the Baba of them all, team NTG ranks highest and tops the top tech blogs in Nigeria list with a whooping 276,364 visits.
Now your turn.
Which other top tech blog in Nigeria do you know that I haven’t listed here?
